C19 LATEST UPDATE 3/24/2022

HELLO AGAIN EVERYONE!

Please note: Information in this message is accurate as of this writing, approximately 8am on Thursday, March 24, 2022.

We hope this message continues to find you well! The world continues to evolve and manage the C19 situation as have we at ELEVATE Chiropractic.

As licensed health care providers in New York State, our continued priority is and always has been YOUR HEALTH AND SAFETY. As such, we want to reiterate our procedures and commitment to protecting you, as well as our staff and doctors.

The protocols we have in place based on guidance from the New York State Health Department and the CDC which are our usual and standard protocol have evolved.

The most notable change is the NYS DOH and CDC edict that masks are optional in the office. This will continue until further advisement is received. You are welcome to continue to wear a mask at your comfortability and we do ask that if you have a cold or allergies, to wear a mask when in the office.

As per previous restrictions, if you have an upcoming appointment and you have had close contact with someone who has contracted C19, please call us prior to your appointment. Further, if you have a fever, cough, muscle pains, malaise or loss of smell beyond a usual level, please first call your PCP’s office. If you do not have a PCP please call The Monroe County Department of Health at 585-753-5555! They will advise you on how to proceed. THEN, when it is feasible, give us a call to reschedule your appointment.

A note regarding immunity: As you know, it is your body’s electrical system (the nervous system) that controls and optimizes your immunity. Your nervous system is like an air traffic controller that directs the army of the immune system in detecting and eliminating invaders. The more powerful your immune system, the less likely you are to get sick. Simple. As you probably have guessed, when your immune system is not working the way it should, it’s really no different than having a 100 watt light bulb operating at 50% – as if it were stuck halfway on the dimmer switch. Does that make sense? We are not suggesting that NeuroStructural Chiropractic Adjustments (which is what we do in our office) is going to ward off coronavirus, or any other virus for that matter. What we are telling you is that it’s completely reasonable to suggest that a perfectly tuned nervous system can optimize your immunity and not only provide some shielding from coronavirus, but very likely all invaders. The other side of the equation is providing your body with what it needs functionally and nutritionally. You’re heard it a thousand times…get enough sleep, stay away from sugary foods and eat a well balanced diet, drink a lot of water, etc.

As we continue to navigate this situation, we will be in contact via our here, Facebook, email and via text and phone regarding changes in schedule and availability. Our offices have been and will continue to remain open normal hours unless informed otherwise. Thank you for being a loyal patient. As always, if you have any questions please ask.

Perhaps most importantly, please keep an eye on yourselves, your family and your neighbors. IF YOU NEED HELP, we are a family, we here for you and will do whatever we can to assist you so please do not hesitate to ask.

Yours in Chiropractic,
Dr. Charlie and Dr. Stephanie

*UPDATED!!!* The Best Mattress Value!

This is updated with a new link!

We are often asked what is the best mattress to purchase. Simply put, it is an important decision and there is a lot of misinformation out there. But, it doesn’t have to be hard. You don’t even have to go into the mattress store either. This is the one. See the links below for the 8″ thick models which are considered firm.

The Best Mattress!

The 8″: https://amzn.to/3zOiA2V

I know! Right? How can I recommend a mattress for this kind of money. Aren’t you supposed to spend a ton on a bed? Well, you can, but you don’t have to. I did. Full disclosure, I have a $3000 bed. It is great. It is also $3000. The bed I recommend is 90+% of the bed I have at less than 10% of the cost. Most people won’t be able to tell the difference. In fact, this bed is what my children sleep on (and I commonly fall asleep on myself). I will buy this in the future. You will need a solid base or a box spring or slatted base to place the mattress on. Here are the links for the box spring or slatted base if you have a metal frame:

So there you go. You have just saved $2500. Enough for a lot of other things for your health including chiropractic care! 🙂

WELCOME DR. EDWIN!

February 21, 2024

Happy New Year and I hope this finds you well! I wanted to take the opportunity to inform you of some big changes coming to Elevate Chiropractic. As many of you know, for some time now, we have been looking for a qualified doctor to join us in hands-on patient care, and we are so pleased to have found a perfect fit.

Allow me to introduce Dr. Edwin Soto! Dr. Edwin is a native of Buffalo and a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic, one of the finest chiropractic colleges. I’ve found Dr. Edwin to be one of the most personable, passionate, and caring people I’ve met in the profession; in short, he is wonderful. His philosophy, similar technique, and skills are exceptional, and his bedside manner is phenomenal, with a keen sense of humor. From the moment I met and spoke with him, I knew he was the doctor we were looking for.

As I pull back to afford more time with my family and to pursue other opportunities of interest, rest assured, you will still see me regularly. I will be involved in the office during our time of transitioning patient care and thereafter as the “Team Principal,” continuing to manage and oversee all aspects of the office. Though my scheduled times in and out of the office at the end of the transition cannot be predicted, I will always be available should you need to reach me.

It is with this that I want to thank you for providing me with the highest honor and privilege to be entrusted with your care, and to be considered YOUR chiropractor. I am confident that the addition of Dr. Edwin will only enhance your experience and care in our office. I know you will give him the same opportunity you gave me to win your confidence: a chance to get to know and care for you in the best possible way.

With deepest gratitude,

Dr. Charlie

The following are some answers to anticipated questions you may have.

When is this happeningDr. Edwin’s first day in office will be January 15th and he will shadow and begin administering care shortly after that. My last scheduled full-time day with patients will be on or around February 16th.

Will I still be involved in the office? Yes, I will still own the practice and the building, manage all of the indirect operations therein, and be available for consultation as needed.

Will my care be “exactly” the same? Our approach and techniques are very similar in that they both are instrument-based and we both subscribe to the body’s ability to heal itself. However, simply put, no person can deliver identical care since we are different people. EVERY effort will be taken to ensure a seamless transition to care with Dr. Edwin. If you are seen during the transition period, Dr. Edwin will have the opportunity to observe your care in person and be observed delivering care by me. Then and thereafter, EVERY patient’s care will be reviewed on the morning of your appointment so that Dr. Edwin can continue the care you have come to expect. Rest assured that I will be overseeing this transition with a critical eye to make sure it is seamless. Know that Dr. Edwin graduated from a premier chiropractic school and comes to us with the latest chiropractic expertise and knowledge. He will be an extremely valuable asset to the office with an extensive skillset and the ability to take your care to a new level. As an aside, I look forward to learning from him about the latest approaches and techniques.

Will you share all of the special nuances unique to my care? Yes, absolutely. Dr. Edwin will observe me, and I will observe him during the transition period during which he will receive detailed information and instructions about your case on how your care is delivered. This will be reiterated for as long as needed to ensure your care is consistent and exceeds your expectations. Further, we will have daily and weekly meetings about your care and its progression and all the aspects of the office for as long as is necessary.

Can I still reach out and ask you questions? Yes, of course. I am always available via phone or email. If I am not physically available in the office, there will be options for a virtual consultation if need be and Dr. Edwin will be included in the plan to address your concerns. Please know that Dr. Edwin will take the point as the hands-on administrator of your care and I will be a resource in all support.

Will the hours open change at all? Yes. We anticipate some changes in the office hours. However, the intent is to be more convenient with better appointment access and availability.

What about my insurance, will you accept it? Since Dr. Edwin works for the office, all insurance will go through the office as it has previously. As a bonus, we will be accepting MVP Insurance in the second quarter of 2024 increasing access to care!

What will I be doing?  I have been presented with opportunities outside of the state and additionally will be pursuing other interests outside the profession. The expansion will require my attention to transition and grow these endeavors. I will be traveling to Rochester VERY frequently to continue overseeing the office and visit family. Rest assured, you will still see me!

Holiday Closing!

Greeting to everyone. We will be closed from December 22nd to the 27th and will re-open on Wednesday, December 28th at 9 am! Have a great holiday!

Happy Holidays!
